This is a gorgeous house freshly remodeled. We have modern kitchen equipment, washer and dryer on site, and a large back patio/ deck and an outdoor coal grill. Due to the location of the property internet connection is sparse. I will have directions on where the Bob Sandlin lake entrance is (only 3 minutes or so from the house) - you will have access to the boat ramp, small dock, and parking. There will be an initial stock of paper products, depending on the length of your stay you may need to purchase more. The pet fee is per dog and dogs need to be approved prior to arrival. Dogs are not allowed to be left unsupervised in the home. We do have 2 nest doorbell camera one by the front door and one by the back door and another exterior camera on the home for safety purposes. If you're wondering what to do while you're 'roughing it' the delightful town of Pittsburg offers many different ammonites. Bob Sandlin State Park is about 6 miles away (maybe a 12 minute drive) and they offer many different activities including hiking, bird watching, swimming, fishing, and more. Contact them directly for what they have available. Top Water Boat Rental is also a great pontoon rental company you can contact if you would like to spend time on the lake. Camp Shilo is also close and they have many different options as well including kayaks, a boat rental, swimming, and more. Barefoot Bay Marina (about 25 minutes away) has rentals available as well, and even cabana rentals for the day. You could grab your cooler, rent a boat or couple kayaks and spend the day with your own cabana which has a covered area, picnic style table and grill. Los Pinos Ranch Vineyard is about 20 minutes away, and the views are amazing. Sip wine while looking over the vineyard. They have a great dinning selection you can grab something to snack on or plan to stay for your meal. Not too far from Los Pinos is EuFord Orchards. This is an outdoor market with locally grown fruits and veggie market with jams, jellies, honey, and other products available. Its a great place to grab some sides for your next meal, or some fruit to snack on! If your looking for a quick bite and don't want to go far Fort Sherman Depo is our Go-to! They have a great breakfast and lunch selection (dinner hours vary) - we try to keep this menu updated at the cabin. The Treehouse includes a private deck overlooking the 8 acre private lake and woodlands below and a private stone patio with gas grill. It is just a short walk to the lake from the cottage (which you can see from the pictures.) It is located in a quiet neighborhood. The house is cooled with central air and has ceiling fans throughout. There is a wood fireplace for the winter months. We also have a generator so the cottage never is without electricity! It has a screened-in porch and an outside deck which is fenced and gated, allowing you peace of mind for your small children and/or pet while you sit and relax, listening to the birds and the lapping of the water. You might also catch sight of the deer who like to roam through the area. If you like to fish, this is a great house because it is conveniently located near Alley Creek. If you like to read, play games, or watch DVDs/videos, there is a large selection of these in the cottage. It is also nice to sit by the fire pit at night and listen to the night sounds. The first thing you will probably notice is the quiet. The neighbors are nice, too. :) This cottage sits at the end of the road and has very little traffic.
